What a day. What a crowd. What a result.
MND Fest 2025 at St Andrews Football Ground in Leicester was everything we hoped it would be — and more. A celebration of strength, unity, and community spirit, all wrapped in music, food, laughter, and love — and all in support of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) community.
We set out to break even. We walked away with over £5,000 raised for the MND Association — money that will go directly toward supporting those affected and funding the research needed to find a cure.
A Festival Built on Teamwork
None of this would have been possible without the incredible people working behind the scenes. I want to say a massive thank you to:
- Brett and Hayley Wells, for your help, energy, and support in making the day run so smoothly.
- Jack Anderson, for stepping in wherever needed and giving your all to help bring it together.
- Simon Bailey, for your hands-on support and dedication from start to finish.
- Justin and Karen Middleton – Justin for always being there with enthusiasm and Karen, who did an amazing job as event coordinator and kept everything ticking like clockwork.
- Megan Scott, my daughter, whose creativity brought the event to life through all the branding and visuals. You captured the spirit of MND Fest perfectly.
- Steve “Gobby” Orme, for taking care of printing all the banners and signage that made the event look as fantastic as it felt. You nailed it, mate.
Music, Food, and Fun — All for a Cause
MND Fest was bursting with energy and fun for all ages:
- Live bands delivered brilliant sets and kept the energy high all day.
- Bouncy castles and face painting gave the kids something to shout about (and a few adults too).
- Food and drink stalls brought amazing flavours and fueled the festivities.
It wasn’t just a festival — it was a statement of solidarity with everyone affected by MND.
To Everyone Who Showed Up
A heartfelt thank you to all the family and friends who travelled from Scotland and Northern Ireland, and to everyone who came down on the day. You made the event truly special — not just for me, but for the entire MND community.
Our Sponsors and Supporters
A massive thank you to our generous sponsors — your backing helped us go beyond expectations and make a real impact. Every bit of support, from local businesses to personal contributions, helped us raise money that will make a difference.
We laughed, we danced, we remembered, and we raised over £5,000 for a cause that desperately needs attention and action.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you.
Cheers,
Davy
